Full Description:
The K-and-M Properties of McLean has recently proposed building about 700 homes on about three-thousand acres of land in the area near the Potomac River, but was met with rejection by the County officials.
The place that was supposed to be developed is considered a sensitive area since nearby is a breeding ground of heron. It is also home to dense hardwoods - some four feet in diameter.
County Official are adamant on the preservation of the area as a public park.
